Welcome to the St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church website. This site is intended to help our web-visitors become familiar with the spiritual life and service of our parish which is located along the picturesque Eastern bank of the Allegheny River in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. Located in central Armstrong County, our church is a parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Greensburg, and is a partner parish of St. Mary, Mother of God Church, Yatesboro.
Our parish continues the rich history of Catholic faith in the Kittanning area that dates back to the time of the early French explorers who once journeyed along the Allegheny River. In 1853, during the era of industrial growth, our first permanent Catholic Church was built on the same plot of land as our current church that was dedicated in 1964.
