Ministries
Whenever our parish family gathers together around the altar for Mass in our church of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe we commemorate and do what Jesus told his apostles to do in memory of him. The Second Vatican Council teaches that the Mass is “the means by which the faithful can express in their lives, and manifest to others the mystery of church in the real nature of the true church” (Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy).
Members of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish are encouraged to consider serving our community in a ministry that gives witness to our Catholic faith.
These ministries include: fulfilling a liturgical role such as altar server, extraordinary minister of holy Communion, lector, greeter or usher; sharing a vocal or instrumental musical talent; or making visits to the sick and homebound members of our parish family.
Our director of liturgy, Sandy Ashley, would welcome inquiries about sharing your talent in any of these ministries.
